Really really bad StarFox 64 Meteo
Really, really, really bad StarFox 64 Meteo.
Made in 3 hours as a challenge. I've been wanting to do a rail shooter for a bit, and this helped get that out of my system. I know I'm describing this as 'Meteo', but really it's just a starfox inspired thing with level design that can be reasonably achieved in 3 hours (eg. infinite asteroid field), and Meteo is pretty close to that.
The floor started out as just being a thing to gauge scale, but then I started leaning into the aesthetic, so it ended up kind of similar to Meteo's secret exit and the training section, at least in StarFox 2026 (the only one I've actually played)
It's also an arcade thing that can theoretically go infinitely! My high score after a few attempts is 55.
Controls:
WASD: move
I: boost
K: brake
L: fire (no charge/locked shot)
U/O: tilt left and right (can't do barrel rolls, sorry)
All assets/code other than the fox jpeg and the font Menlo are my own
